CanEducate is a registered Canadian charitable organization. We passionately believe education is the single most powerful weapon in the global fight against poverty. CanEducate provides educational sponsorships to impoverished and at-risk children in developing countries. CanEducate is managed by an independent, volunteer Board of Directors and a dedicated team of collaborators. Charitable Registration Number: 81686 0050 RR0001.

  • CanEducate has the heart of a charity and mind of a business. Our administrative costs are only 2.3% of total donations, meaning virtually every dollar donated directly benefits the students whose potential we’re helping to unleash.
  • We have delivered more than 10,000 scholarships to at-risk youth across Sub-Saharan Africa and Central America in the last five years.
  • Our goal is to raise CDN$200,000 in donations in 2017, which would allow us to reach approximately 12,000 scholarships in only six years of existence.

CanEducate has big plans for 2017. We’ve relaunched our website and are attacking our fundraising campaign with a renewed sense of vigour. We have set a donations target of $200,000 in 2017. This will allow CanEducate to provide sponsorships to more than 2,000 students. Since our inception, we’ve achieved significant growth in the students we are helping while keeping administrative costs at only 2.3% of total donations. This means virtually every dollar donated directly benefits our students. In our five years of existence, CanEducate has raised $877,057 in donations and provided a total of more than 10,000 scholarships.

Remember that it only costs about $75 a year to send one student to school in Tanzania. In most countries, that’s the cost of a cup of coffee per day for one month. Thank you in advance to our generous donors for their partnership and support!
