Noleen Dube is the General Manager: Sustainable Communities at Acacia Mining. She has over 22 years of experience in sustainability and social development in the extractive industry and other sectors. Noleen has worked in an advisory, technical support; training; project management and strategic roles throughout the African continent as well as in Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean. She has extensive experience with working with multiple stakeholders and creating partnerships for large social and economic development projects. She has published several articles related to community development interventions in regional and international journals and publications.
She previously ran her own consulting firm, Strategic Development Solutions; worked for AngloGold Ashanti, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Project Support Group Southern Africa as Co-Founder and Executive Director. She holds an MBA and a BSc Psychology Honors degree. She was a Member of the Advisory Boards of Project Support Association (PSA) in South Africa and its affiliate the Project Support Group (PSG) in Zimbabwe and was also on the CARE South Africa Advisory Board. Noleen is currently a Visiting Associate at the University of Witwatersrand at the Centre for Sustainability in Mining and Industry (CSMI) in South Africa.
